Deleting deleted open files

Hi Team,

After playing with the Xorg.0.log files and having no solution found all i am left is to rotate the log files.

I need two solutions here:

-- logrtate.conf configurations for /var/log/Xorg.0.log and /var/log/gdm/\:log files [ what i have now is no creation of the log files but it inturn causes the root filesystem increase with deleted open files ]

-- Please assist me with some script or solution to deal with deleted open files without impacting the running application.

Hi all,

For the Xorg logging issue we edited the gdm binary.

Replaced the parameter audit 4 was replaced with audit 0 and post reboot the system worked absolutely fine.
