Hello,
I am using Centos 7 and attempting to use virt-manager to install a vm via a DVD. I have a DVD in my media tray of my laptop, I see that Centos is available in /dev/sr0 in the choice window, however, I can't switch from the radio button for ISO to the "Use CDROM or DVD" option.
The dvd automounts fine, it's readable. I tried different versions of 7.0 and can't get it to work. I was able to use this previously, but I just re-installed the OS and now it doesn't work.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Snoopy_

Re: can't access cdrom radio button in virt-manager
Is your user part of the 'cdrom' group?
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

Well, no. I added the cdrom group to my user, but it still doesn't work.
I tried it as root, and it does not work either.
