Unable to change mouse settings after updating to 7.4

Post by cbrouillet@pirel.com » 2017/10/23 13:26:44

After updating to 7.4 from 7.3, everything is ok except I can't set my mouse buttons to be left handed (reversing the primary and secondary buttons).

Apparently, RH support site have solution (https://access.redhat.com/solutions/3140221) which is inaccessible to me since I don't have paid a subscription for RH Customer Portal.

So, what is the solution for CENTOS users?

same issue here as a virtualbox it was already set (was fedora as host) then i installed as a host and settings have gone mad, mouse is right handed even changing the left to right for primary setting, 2 of my 3 monitors are not working - it is either a bug or to do with unstable code being included, please help us lefties as we do exist and could do with this as an install choice to be fair.

That page just points to https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1478397 and lists a workaround which says "use the xinput command"
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
Info for USB installs on http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/InstallFromUSBkey
CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

Thanks Trevor.

I just did a

Code: Select all

sudo yum install xorg-x11-drv-libinput
as was hinted by the link you posted. I then logged out and in again, switch my buttons and voilà 8-) .

Thanks again

P.S. I did not notice from which repo I got the libinput driver. Mine are base, elrepo, epel, extras and updates.
