Hi,
I met some problems when two hard drives connected to my server,one is installed with CentOS7.3 in legacy mode,and another is install with CentOS7.3 in uefi mode。And then Whether in legacy mode or in uefi mode,the server failed to enter the CentOS7.3 system. CentOS7.3(legacy)+CentOS7.3(uefi) and CentOS7.3(uefi)+CentOS7.3(uefi) have the same phenomenon.when remove one hard drive,the server can boot successfully and enter into the system.
So,I want to know the causes about the issues.Is there any way to solve the problem?

Well you don't actually tell us the problem. It *seems* as though the boot record/UEFI boot environment is on one disk (how?)
Perhaps you need to place the boot environment on both disks?

Re: CentOS7.3 boot issues with legacy and uefi boot mode
The whole process is that:
① In legacy boot mode,install CentOS7.3 on a disk,named disk 1;
②And then remove disk 1 and change BIOS to UEFI boot mode,install CentOS7.3 on anather disk, named disk 2;
③Then connect the two disks to a server. The ideal situation is that it will enter into disk 1's system when the server BIOS boot mode is legacy and it will enter into disk 2's system when the boot mode is UEFI. However, actually whether switching to legacy mode or uefi mode, the server will not be able to successfully enter the system on each of the disk。
So,what the reasons about this issue。Will disks installed CentOS7.3 in two different boot mode affect each other when connect to one server?
PS:two disks installed with CentOS7.3 in UEFI boot mode have the same problem。

Re: CentOS7.3 boot issues with legacy and uefi boot mode
Did you change the default LVM Volume Group and Logical Volume names? They cannot be the same on two disks simulataneously.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

Well,I have solved this problem with your help. Repeated names of LVM is the real cause of the problem.
Thanks for your help.
