computer starts up immediatley after hibernate

Post by jody » 2017/11/21 14:12:00

Hi
When i hibernate my Centos machine, either by choosing the 'Hibernate' menu item on the greeter screen, or by typing

Code: Select all

 sudo /usr/lib/systemd/systemd-sleep hibernate
it seems to go into hibernation at first but then immediately starts up again (it's like a 'warm' start - there are no beeps from the motherboard).

My kernel is 3.10.0-693.5.2.el7.x86_64

Here's the relevant output from dmesg

Code: Select all

(it looks like this output is not properly ordered: after the shut-down and the immediate start-up, the image saving process is still going on...

So i don't know if this message was written *before* the automatic restart or after:

Code: Select all

[22217.886377] PM: Hibernation image created (13154048 pages copied)
Is there an explanation/fix for this unwanted behavior?

Thank you
