I have several remote Centos 7 machines that do not have attached displays. I must run a script after the machine boots up to have a larger viewing area of 1920x1080 otherwise the computer start up with a 800x600 resolution. I can use 'xrandr' to change the default display to 1920x1080. I run Teamviewer on these systems so I can remote in periodically. That being said, periodically my UI becomes unresponsive. I can log in with out any problem, but after logging in I can perform maybe one mouse click and thats all. To fix this, I remote in via ssh and restart the gdm.service. The display goes back to its original size and then I run xrandr to adjust again. I have several dozen machines and needless to say this is an annoyance. Any ideas as to why this happens? Any suggestions to fix?
