Just thought people would like to know - I brought home a brand new i7 Desktop PC today (ASUS MOBO). I had Centos 7 (1708) burned onto a DVD, and I started the install. Early on, as soon as I got the mouse cursor. It just stopped with a black screen.
2 hours of experimenting and hair-pulling later, I tried re-connecting the monitor via the PC's HDMI port instead of the VGA port, and Voila!
Maybe you guys should but a warning or check in your code? Anyway, thought I would post in case anyone else ran into the same issue.
