Who knows the official performance testing report of Centos 7.4?

We did the performance testing between CentOS7.4(kernel-3.10) and CentOS6.9(kernel-2.6) with the tool(UNIX benchmark-5.1.3) ,however the results show that CentOS7.4 got a almost 7% downgrade compare with CentOS6.9.
So I wanna know the detail reasons ,maybe there are some problems for my test method.
If U have any suggestion or know the details ,please show your comments follow it.

If your test is with latest updates of CentOS7.4 - then you are observing the performance hit by the Spectre/Meltdown fixes. You can disable them and try the bench again.
