CentOS install trouble - only distro I have trouble with

Post by bdrake » 2018/03/19 23:02:51

I am using a second hard drive on my computer as a linux lab and have installed Fedora, OpenSUSE, Mint, Ubuntu to name a few distros. All have worked when creating live USB with the Win32 imager. I absolutely cannot get CentOS to install with a bootable USB. The USB would not pass the media check at install until I used Fedora Media Writer to create. I also used dd in Fedora and it passed the media check as well. In both instances the graphic installer does not start - it sits on the Anaconda screen stating the graphic installer will open soon. I have tried the install.text option and it comes to the same screen, saying the installer will open soon (minus the word graphic). Does anyone have any suggestions? I really want to use CentOS and have no idea how to fix this glitch. All other distros install without a problem using multiple install methods. I have 16 gig of ram and an AMD processor. I have tried the DVD,Everything, and Minimal ISO images. All the same result.
