[SOLVED] Lux Repository Safe?

Post by deborahjuly » 2018/03/21 05:04:48

The Lux repository is not mentioned in the documentation: https://wiki.centos.org/de/AdditionalRe ... ositories/. I am wondering if it is safe from rewriting the core parts of CentOS 7.

I have never heard of it before now, but it appears to be for EL6/C6 only. And since it includes core components like the kernel and iptables it is not safe.

The repository is available for CentOS 7 as well as CentOS 5. I found them on https://centos.pkgs.org/. I wanted to install jailkit and this is the only repo that had it for CentOS 7. Thanks for letting me know. I just ended up compiling from source.
