USB flash drive can not be mounted automatically in CentOS 7?

Post by zdn3023 » 2018/04/03 17:47:28

Hi,
I can manually mount my flash drive (FAT32 format), but it is not mounted automatically on my CentOS 7.2 computer. Fdisk result shows that it is detected though.

I am puzzled because this flash drive was immediately mounted on a CentOS 5.10 computer once I plugged it in. I checked the fstab file of the CentOS 5.10 computer, and there is no particular line added to mount a USB flashdrive.

My question is why the difference? And what I need to set to make it mount automatically every time I plug it in?

A bit frustrated here because something like this should have been well taken care of in a current OS system installation.

Thank you,
zdn
