Hello guys, I'm trying to install CentOS 7 Minimal 1708 on my laptop (HP ProBook 430)
I've created a bootable flash drive and ran the the installation through the BIOS.
all went good until it got stuck and prompted me that there is some kind of error and i should enter to the 'journalctl' and check out the log file.
all of it was gray and white color accept this lines that were red

localhost iscsid[582]: can't open InitiatorName configuration file /etc/iscsi/initiatorname.iscsi

using software iscsi (iscsi_tcp or ib_iser) or partial offload (bnx2i or cxgbi iscsi), you may not be able to log into or

localhost iscsid[582]: can't open iscsid.safe_logout configuration file /etc/iscsi/iscsid.conf

Re: Installation problam iscsi files
Did you check the sha256sum of your downloaded file against the list published in the CentOS Release Notes https://wiki.centos.org/Manuals/ReleaseNotes/CentOS7 to make sure your download is not corrupt? What application did you use to create your USB stick? There are some that do not work and corrupt the iso image as they copy it - Information on USB key based installs can be found at http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/InstallFromUSBkey
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

I've downloaded the ISO from the downloads page, and I've used UNetbootin, now I'm using rufus to retry thatTrevorH wrote:Did you check the sha256sum of your downloaded file against the list published in the CentOS Release Notes https://wiki.centos.org/Manuals/ReleaseNotes/CentOS7 to make sure your download is not corrupt? Unetbootin is definitely one of the broken ones and so is Rufus when you select certain settings. The absolute best to use is just plain old dd.
You need to sha256sum the file you downloaded and make sure its checksum is correct before you do anything else.
