Hello,
I am currently running Pentaho 6.1 on an AWS EC2 instance. I would like to continue change the instance type to x1e.xlarge, but the CentOS 7 AMI that I am using as the image for the instance does not support this instance type. I contacted AWS support and they directed me toward this support forum.
Does anyone have any experience with getting this instance type to work on CentOS 7, or does anyone have any work arounds? Or would it be possible to add the x1e.xlarge instance type to the list supported by CentOS 7 (not sure what is required to do this or the reasoning behind not including it).
Thanks!
Jordan Davies

It's probably better to either raise a new bug (or search for and append to any existing bug report that you might find) on bugs.centos.org. The person/people responsible for those images doesn't visit the forums very often (last time mid-2016) and a bug report ios more likely to get attended to. Sorry to bounce you around.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
