Hi

I get this kernel panic during modest KVM load

kernel BUG at kernel/hrtimer.c:1236

abrt info
abrt-cli list --since 1526931546
id d0f5c5301788f75a14101fd9d7a71b83d22e505c
reason: kernel BUG at kernel/hrtimer.c:1236!
time: Mon 21 May 2018 11:55:09 PM CEST
uid: 0 (root)
count: 1
Directory: /var/spool/abrt/vmcore-127.0.0.1-2018-05-21-23:53:20

I run 2 Supermicro X9SRL-F with cpu E5-1602 and validated Samsung ECC 32G memory. Supermicro has not yet released any spectre/meldown BIOS updates.

The kernel bug seems to be known, it's hidden at upstream customer portal.

Anyone that has clues or suggestions regarding this bug?

Regards, Henrik

Hi

I went back to kernel 3.10.0-693.21.1.el7.x86_64 and it runs stable.
