I had the same problem with kernel-3.10.0-862.3.2.el7.x86_64 and Trevor's solution worked for me, I just had to run yum reinstall kernel-3.10.0-862.3.2.el7.x86_64.TrevorH wrote:That's a known crash with no known cause or solution (since no-one knows what causes it). The solution is easy though, yum reinstall kernel-3.10.0-862.2.3.el7.x86_64 as the problem is that either the initramfs file for it is missing from /boot or from grub.cfg. Reinstalling it will fix it.
My question now is the "initramfs file is either corrupted or missing from grub.cfg" a new problem? Is it new to 7.5 or has it always been present, but just a rare issue?
