We recently purchased a Dell R640 with Perc H740P Mini (Embedded) RAID controller. There are four number 500GB SAS disks in RAID 5.
When we tried to install CentOS7.4 from usb, 'HDD not detected only usb

Try again with 7.5 which is the latest version. New hardware support is added at point releases. If you provide the output from lspci -nn | grep -i raid then that may aid us in helping you.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

7.5.1804 is the latest version. The 7.5 is not visible in the .iso name, but 1804 is.
