free space SSM after extend with wmware

Post by grydan » 2018/06/13 11:10:29

Hello,
I have in VMWARE a Centos 7 with 6 disk configuration:

sda --> 16GB
sdb --> 50GB
sdc --> 160GB
sdd --> 80GB
sde --> 10GB
sdf --> 8 GB

I have created with a tool System Storage Manager following this tutorial http://xmodulo.com/manage-lvm-volumes-c ... nager.html this scenario:
sudo ssm list
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Device Free Used Total Pool Mount point
--------------------------------------------------------------------
/dev/sda 16.00 GB PARTITIONED
/dev/sda1 1.00 GB /boot
/dev/sda2 0.00 KB 15.00 GB 15.00 GB centos
/dev/sdb 0.00 KB 50.00 GB 50.00 GB vg_dominodata
/dev/sdc 0.00 KB 160.00 GB 160.00 GB vg_daos
/dev/sdd 0.00 KB 80.00 GB 80.00 GB vg_ftindex
/dev/sde 0.00 KB 10.00 GB 10.00 GB vg_nif
/dev/sdf 0.00 KB 8.00 GB 8.00 GB vg_logdir
--------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------
Pool Type Devices Free Used Total
-----------------------------------------------------------
centos lvm 1 0.00 KB 15.00 GB 15.00 GB
vg_daos lvm 1 0.00 KB 160.00 GB 160.00 GB
vg_dominodata lvm 1 0.00 KB 50.00 GB 50.00 GB

vg_nif lvm 1 0.00 KB 10.00 GB 10.00 GB
-----------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Volume Pool Volume size FS FS size Free Type Mount point
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
/dev/centos/root centos 13.39 GB xfs 13.38 GB 7.98 GB linear /
/dev/centos/swap centos 1.60 GB linear
/dev/vg_nif/disk0 vg_nif 10.00 GB xfs 9.99 GB 4.34 GB linear /IBM/nif
/dev/vg_dominodata/disk0 vg_dominodata 50.00 GB xfs 49.97 GB 17.54 GB linear /IBM/dominodata
/dev/vg_daos/disk0 vg_daos 160.00 GB xfs 159.92 GB 1.53 GB linear /IBM/daos

/dev/vg_ftindex/disk0 vg_ftindex 80.00 GB xfs 79.96 GB 74.57 GB linear /IBM/ftindex
/dev/sda1 1.00 GB xfs 1014.00 MB 825.71 MB part /boot
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now I add extra space of 50GB in VMWARE for the disk /dev/sdb, and after I execute the command I have this:

--------------------------------------------------------------------
Device Free Used Total Pool Mount point
--------------------------------------------------------------------
/dev/sda 16.00 GB PARTITIONED
/dev/sda1 1.00 GB /boot
