I connected the Centos 7 laptop with an SSH session for the first time.
The client computer in this case was Windows 7 using a MobaXterm SSH client.
I opened the etc/host file using gedit but I did not make any changes though.
I can still execute commands on the client computer.
Edit: When I executed shutdown, green text and other characters finally showed up on screen, and the laptop was able to shutdown successfully.
I also come across posts on google regarding 'setterm -blank 0', but non address how to get out of the black screen without restarting.
Screen stays black, but can see cursor movment on screen, during SSH session.
