Where to download previous 7.5.x iso?

Post by fnux » 2018/10/04 18:44:43

Hello,

I've installed both CenOS 7.5.1511 and 7.5.1804 and I've a big problem with the latest that I don't have with the precedent release.

My question is: where can I download previous iso of the current 7.5.1804 to check since with what version my problem first occured?

TIA for your help.

Perhaps you could try 7.4.1708, available at http://archive.kernel.org/centos-vault/ ... os/x86_64/

Note that what you referred to as 7.5.1511 is actually 7.2.1511.

It's also possible that describing your problem here might bring assistance.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

Hi avij and TrevorH

Thank you to both of you two for your time and concern.

a) since I'm a newbee, I like to save any Linux .iso version on witch my different scripts used to work to compare with newest distro releases when/if a problem occurs.

b) as a matter of fact, the "big" problem I had with the 7.5.1804 Vs. the 7.5.1511 was solved by itself when increasing the amount of RAM of the VM running this distro, when 2 Gb was enough with the previous release but needs now a minimum of 4 Gb for the latest.

Seams to me the bad MSFT' devs habitude to request more and more CPU/RAM to do no more stuffs is invading and wining the Linux world!

Do devs forgot the basic K.I.S.S. ?

Anyhow, thank you again for your help as well as any link to get other releases pre 7.5.1804 as well as some 6.x.

Best regards.

Of course it depends on what you do with your machine. The CentOS 7 VM that did IPv6 CentOS mirror checking ran happily with 512MB of RAM for quite a few years (and it still runs and does other tasks, but it no longer does IPv6 mirror checking because that functionality is now integrated into the main mirror crawler process). YMMV.
