Centos7 keeps freezing
I have a problem that the centos hang forever when doing anything like browsing chrome or firefox or open a program.
so it freezes, no mouse or KB working. and I have to restart the system manually.
i have Intel® Core™ i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz × 8, 8GB RAM.
genome version:3.22.2 and the graphics driver is NVCF.
the graphics card is Nvidia gtx 550ti.
I installed the Nvidia driver and the same problem still exists.
so what can i do ??

Re: Centos7 keeps freezing
Are the keyboard LEDs flashing? Can you ping the system from elsewhere? Or ssh to it?
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

Re: Centos7 keeps freezing
Run memory test and verify that the system is OK.I can't recall if the CentOS install DVD has a memtest , but the Fedora Workstation DVD has one. Either boot an installation media and run the memory troubleshooter, or download 'memtest86' bootable media and boot from it.
Re: Centos7 keeps freezing
Did this start recently? Is it a new CentOS installation?
You could also try to reseat the memory modules a few times. Ditto for all cables.

And you didn't answer the question about the keyboard LEDs.

Re: Centos7 keeps freezing
the kb freeze as well, if i press one ( num lock) which is on the light still on. if i pressed on caps lock which is off the light still off.
so the keyboard not responding to any of my action on it. and the LEDs who is on still on and the LEDs who off still off.
Re: Centos7 keeps freezing
If the keyboard LEDs were flashing then you would have a kernel crash. Since they are not, I would guess that you have a hardware problem.
