Hi. I have a new PC: AMD Ryzen 5 200G processor and Gigabyte AB350 motherboard.
Download the latest version of centos: http://mirror.netglobalis.net/centos/7. ... D-1804.iso
At the time of beginning the installation I get this error:
tsc: Fast TSC calibration failed
Initramfs unpacking failed: xz-compressed data is corrupt
AMD-VI: Unable to write to IOMMU perf counter
Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block
......
If you can give me a hand I would appreciate it very much.
Regards.-
Error installing Centos 7
Re: Error installing Centos 7
That's normal and can be ignored.tsc: Fast TSC calibration failed
That is not. Check the sha256sum of your downloaded file against the list published in the release notes for your version of CentOS to make sure they match. If not then redownload. Check your boot media to make sure it's OK - if using a USB stick then try a different one.Initramfs unpacking failed: xz-compressed data is corrupt
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

Thank you very much for the reply. Change the DVD player and it worked. I had to choose UEFI dvd boot ...
