raid type

Post by lknls » 2018/11/12 17:31:48

Hello;

This is my first post. I hope it's the correct forum.

I've started a maintance work for my friend but i need to find the raid type that server is actively using.

Any clue how to do that?

Regards

If it's using linux software RAID then look in /proc/mdstat

If it's using hardware RAID then you either need to look in the controller or use the manufacturer provided utility to do so (which of course varies depending on who makes it).
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
