As I wade ever deeper into the depths of 7.6, one option I am considering is to simply burn the Official .iso when it comes out, wipe my test machine and do a total re-install from the .iso. In theory they should be no software conflicts which might be what is causing me headaches.
Does anyone *know* if KDE will be included on the Official 7.6 .iso when it hits the mirrors?!?
Hi ho! Hi ho! Its off to get the the /root ( ) of the problem.
Will KDE be Included On The Official 7.6 .iso?

Not quite sure why the last two times you've been told this weren't enough.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
