Centos 7 minimal play wav files

Post by smorawski » 2018/12/09 09:58:53

I want to apologize first if the answer is in this forum but the search keeps telling me to wait up to 120 seconds. I have Centos 7 (1804) minimal install and am looking to play wav files. I can convert to mp3 but I would rather keep them as wav and it seems there is little documented on how to do so...unless you use any other distro of which I am not open to.

Almost any media player should play wav files out of the box without anything special.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
