I'm new to CentOS and I would like to use my numlock.
I've searched a lot of sites in order to find how to install it with no luck.
Every time I run the command "yum install numlockx" i get a message saying that there is "No package numlockx available"
Sorry for the noob question and thank you in advance.
I'm using CentOS 7 as a VM.
Thanks again and kind regards.
No package numlockx available
Re: No package numlockx available
It's in the nux-dextop yum repo.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

Re: No package numlockx available
Maybe you don't need any numlockx package.
IF you're using KDE, try System settings, Hardware, Input Devices, Keyboard, Numlock on KDE startup = On, Apply. Reboot or restart KDE.
IF you're using gnome, then somebuddy else maybe able to help you.
HTH
I'm not a complete idiot. There's still a few pieces missing.

Re: No package numlockx available
I'm running CentOS in the most basic and minimal installation. No GUI, just terminal.
I will have to include the repo then, right?

Re: No package numlockx available
Maybe there's a num-lock setting in the bios?
