Install and configure SNMP V3

Post by mvalenzuela » 2019/02/11 17:16:26

Hi,

It's a pleasure to greet you, can you help me to install and configure SNMP V3 in my Centos 7? I do not know how to make this configuration.

Thanks.

You'll need to install the net-snmp package and then configure it in /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

Thanks,

To create the user I have the following command line.

--create-snmpv3-user [-ro] [-A authpass] [-X privpass] [-a MD5|SHA] [-x DES|AES] [username]

You know what the difference between -A y -X, it will be necessary to place the two or only one.
