I would like to know what are the risk of downgrading CentOS 7 to CentOS 6?
is it even possible?
I have a site that currently runs on CentOS 7, but my managed server uses only CentOS 6 and can't be upgraded
so i think maybe to downgrade the site using CentOS 7 to 6

Re: Downgrade CentOS 7 to CentOS 6
You could back up your data, install 6 and put back the data. There is no downgrade path. But since 6 is end of life in little over a year and only receiving critical updates it would seem the better option would be to upgrade the other server.
Re: Downgrade CentOS 7 to CentOS 6
There is neither an upgrade from CentOS 6 to 7 nor is there a downgrade from 7 to 6. You would have to backup and restore all your data in either case.
CentOS 6 entered Production Phase 3 on May 10th 2017 and now only receives critical updates. It will go EOL on 30 Nov, 2020 -- in 1 year, 41 weeks.

The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
