Additional Layout Options

Post by nrdpxl » 2019/02/16 16:14:16

Just reinstalled Centos, and bumped into some kind of weird bug.
As soon as I trying to launch "Additional Layout Options" in Gnome-Tweak tool, it doesn't do anything, just sends a report to a bug tracker.

Code: Select all

tweak_group_xkb.py:167:__init__:TypeError: unbound method __init__() must be called with TweakGroup instance as first argument (got TypingTweakGroup instance instead)
I believe this will be fixed in the future, but I need to change win and cntrl keys. Is there a way to swap them without "Additional Layout Options"?

Thanks for help!

The workaround. (if you run into same problems as me)
Remove current gnome-tweaks tool, and install gnome-tweak-tool-3.22.0-1.el7.noarch.rpm from previous version CentOS DVD 1804.

This worked for me also.

Thank you,

There is a standard yum repo for accessing old versions. Look in /etc/yum.repos.d/CentOS-Vault.repo for names and details. You don't have to use the DVD to get it...
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
