Hello
I recently changed domain of server where I'm running centos 7 . I updated also mail server address and postfix configuration for sending and receiving mails. I can now receive mails to the new domain but if I send a mail it will send from the old domain not the new one.
Would you please help me how can I update/configure postfix to send from the new domain/mail server.
Thank you
Postfix issue ( update mail server addresses to send from a new domain )
Re: Postfix issue ( update mail server addresses to send from a new domain )
grep -r olddomain /etc and make changes as needed.

I want to update that I already changed hostname of server to server.newdomain.com
I also updated 'myhostname' and 'mydomain' in 'postfix/main.cf' with new domain address. but all of that didn't solve my problem, the server mails still send email from the old address.

If that command shows any output, it means your old domain is still in some Postfix config file and you need to change those files.
It is also possible that whatever creates the emails would also need to be updated to use the new domain name. In other words you may need to change other config as well, maybe your webmail config if you use something like that.

The command 'grep -r olddomain /etc' shows no output at all after I ran it in my server.
I though I just need to update domain address in postfix configuration files.
The problem has been solved now after I updated domain address in '/etc/squirrelmail/config.php' since I use squirrelmail to send mails. and now I send emails and the sender address has been updated to the new domain address.
Thank you
