How to add graphical shortcuts to the dock on the desktop

Post by shanedora » 2019/03/23 17:29:56

I have installed the following two applications on my centos7 box.
Sublime Text
Xilinx Vivado Design Suite

In the image attached you'll see the "Sublime Text" logo and the "Xilinx Vivado" logo on the dock. I have to start these applications from the command line as of now to get them to show up on the dock. With most applications that come preinstalled it's been really easy to just add them to the dock by...
(1) hit the windows key to bring up search bar
(2) type the name of the application
(3) when it's logo "icon" pops up I right click and drag it over to the dock

However, for these two applications nothing appears when I search for it using the method I just mentioned. How would I go about creating shortcuts with their logo and adding them to the dock?

Here is a screenshot with these two applications opened showing how they appear on the doc.
