Hello All,
If there is such a thing as a "casual" CentOS user, then that would apply to me. I am using a Dell R710 Server for a home computer lab and as a Plex Media Server. In regard to the latter use, I used a Samba Share as the location for Plex-related media. During Samba setup, I don't recall seeing any parameter about how large a share would be created. So after copying a few movies, I'm getting messages about approaching the limit of space available in the share.
So is there a SIMPLE process by which I can increase the allocated size? My server has 12 TB which are basically empty so the movies I've copied to it so far are far from using up that space. Most of what I've read about this task is that it does not appear simple...unfortunate for me as I don't claim to be an IT geek.
Plex works great on the server but without being able to load more media, my effort is for naught.
Thank you.
Gary

Re: Increase Size of Samba Share for Plex Media Server Use
Get on your SAMBA and run (replace the dir with whatever yoiu have defined):
Code: Select all
df -h /dir/defined/in/smb/conf

Thank you. We'll certainly try that.
