Laptop media keys not working after kernel update

I have an old Asus laptop with extended keyboard with media keys, which worked fine with kernel-3.10.0-862.el7.x86_64.
However after update to kernel-3.10.0-957.12.1.el7.x86_64 media keys (mute, volume up, volume down) stopped working.

I've checked with xev that these keys don't generate any events anymore. However when I boot to old kernel version they work fine.

I find these keys quite useful, any suggestions how to fix that?

If you compare the list of kernel modules loaded with both kernels, is there any difference?
You can list the kernel modules that are loaded with the command lsmod
