ipmi:dmi base address is zero, assuming no ipmi interface

Post by armzy » 2023/11/16 09:11:36

Hi everyone, I got my first case when using Centos, "ipmi:dmi base address is zero, assuming no ipmi interface". and suddenly the nic on my server couldn't be read and the hard disk that had been mounted was also unreadable. is there a solution?.. thanks before

I doubt if that is the error causing the problem. Do what it says in that screenshot and login with the root password and run `journalctl -xb` and see if there are other errors.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

Oh, also remove 'rhgb' and 'quiet' from the kernel command line so you can see the errors.

That looks like the first 2 screens of about 50.
