gnome-terminal with csh: open new tab in current directory

Hi,
I switch shell to csh, then open gnome-terminal and change to new dir. Then I see the PWD is not the one in the old terminal when I open new tab.
I don't see such issue when using bash and in centos 6 with csh.
Could you help told me how to resolve it?
