Has anyone had any success installing Openshot or some other program that can be used to create slideshows?

Have you looked at LibreOffice Impress? It's included in most CentOS installations. Lot's of people have had success with it!

If you need openshot for el7, it is available from the Nux Dextop repository.

I am on Centos 7. I DL'ed the "EL 7" rpm from the link posted above, openshot-1.4.3-1.el7.nux.noarch.rpm. I had to install some other libraries/packages before I could get it to install. I ran openshot and got full volume white noise thorugh my speakers and white noise in the openshot window, and these messages. Any thoughts, anyone? My graphics card is an Nvidia GTX 970. I'll probably try install more packages  :?: :

[jpatterson@darkczar openShot]$ openshot

The .rpm file I downloaded is out of date. There is an AppImage file available here:

I had to install fuse.x86_64, and now OpenShot is running! I love Openshot!
