Safe way to upgrade to PHP 5.6

Hi there,
I just ordered a new VPS and wanted to give CentOS a try. I found that 7.1 carry a relatively old version of PHP 5.4 while latest Wordpress requires PHP 5.6.

I was wondering if there is any "safe" way to upgrade PHP to 5.6 on CentOS 7.1

PHP 5.6 is recommended but it will run with PHP 5.2.4+, however there are security issues.

I have WordPress running on my CentOS 7.1 box with 5.4.16 and have not run into any trouble.
