Post by Blisk » 2017/07/17 17:47:51

I also have this problem and don't know what is wrong.
Mail just cant come in, they are stuck in queue.
If I send mail to myaself on the same domain than I get domain, from otuside I can't get any email
And didn't changed anything on postfix or dovecot.
when mail come in I get this error

Jul 17 19:41:32 ej postfix/error[15376]: A344AC0102A87: to=<myname@ej.net>, relay=none, delay=141074, delays=141069/5.3/0/0.22, dsn=4.3.0, status=deferred (mail transport unavailable)

Presumably this is the output of mailq?

The clue lies in mail transport unavailable

As mail is very complex these days, Google it (I did and got several top hits that seem reasonable).

Could you show config of postfix?

Do you have other services for mail, eg. spamassasin, amavis-new or other?

Ok I am now a bit closer to problem.
It is amavis which makes problem I have disabled it in main.cf
#content_filter = amavis:[127.0.0.1]:10026
#smtp-amavis_destination_recipient_limit = 1

and now I can get mails to inbox.
How can I check what is a problem with amavis so that it doesn't work with postfix?
I also tried to change 10026 to 10024 and no changes still not working, when amavis enabled.

[127.0.0.1]:10026
Isn't that a socket? Is amavis listening there?

yes I disabled that in postfix, that means something is wrong related amavis.

Check in maillog:

# grep amavis /var/log/maillog* | less

and change log level for more info:

/etc/amavisd/amavisd.conf

$log_level = 0; # verbosity 0..5, -d
