MariaDB CONNECT engine not available in official repos?

Hi

Howto enable MariaDB CONNECT engine?

With "SHOW PLUGINS" I didn't find, INSTALL SONAME 'ha_connect' also didn't help and there is no RPM package called "mariadb-connect-engine".

Is that different to the packages that show up when you do yum list mysql-connector\* ?
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
Info for USB installs on http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/InstallFromUSBkey
CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
