any fix for sluggish QEMU KVM console

Hello guys, I have been using vmware esxi for using several years but decided to switch to QEMU KVM virtualization with centOS7 for simpler and more straighforward management for virtualized environment. I like lot of aspect of QEMU KVM however one thing is once I isntall O/S and start using console window it is response to input specially mouse is quite sluggish. I am currently getting by enabling RDP on guest O/S and using RDP to do my stuff. For vmware they have this vmware guest tool that mount as a cdrom and installs on guest OS which speeds up the response time a lot. Is there any equivalent software, setting or anything I can use to speed up guest O/S response speed? Thanks!
