livemigration KVM Windows VM

Post by MarcMarin » 2015/06/27 15:58:27

Hi all,

I just setup a Pacemaker/Corosync cluster with libvirtd running and 2 VMs.
The filesystem is a gfs2 shared filesystem and it is working fine so far.

I am able to do a pcs resource move and the VMs are shutting down and starting on the other node.
I want to do a live migration. I updated the resource with the meta option for the live migration.

The live migration fails with the following fault:

Code: Select all

Can you help me what could be the issue for the Unable to stop block job on drive-ide0-0-0?

thanks

You will need to have iptables rules that allow tcp port 49152:49215 from the other system to perform a live migration. Unsure if this is your current issue. When I do it, I do it manually using a command like virsh migrate --live --verbose testvm qemu+ssh://othersystem/system tcp:othersystem
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.
