Post by ramon » 2017/05/01 19:41:53

Hi,

I install gnumeric in CentOS 7 with the goffice.rpm and gnumeric.rpm from Fedora 22. Why is not present Gnumeric in the mirrors? And what it means

Thanks,

I agree... gnumeric has features I haven't seen in LibreOffice's Calc. And, after all, this is Linux. We should always have multiple options.

I did it the same (dirty) way.

It's in EPEL for CentOS 6 but unfortunately not (yet) for CentOS 7.

It is still not in EPEL repo but you can find it in LUX repo https://centos.pkgs.org/7/lux/gnumeric- ... 4.rpm.html
This is after all a repo advertised as a CentOS 7 repo so perhaps a less "dirty" way is to download the rpm and let yum figure out the dependencies or for that matter enable the entire repo.

BTW at

Code: Select all

https://centos.pkgs.org
you'll find quite a number of CentOS repos that are not mentioned in the CentOS Wiki as either provided or community approved. Perhaps this is an indication that these are to be used at your own risk but many of them do seem trustworthy enough.

Thought anyone?
