Kernel-RT support

Post by iamboymok » 2017/06/21 07:14:38

CentOS 7.2 with RT kernel(3.10.0-327.36.3.rt56.238.el7.x86_64) is running in our company server. The RT kernel is built from source from git.centos.org.
In my understanding, only RPM packages releases by CentOS is officially supported.
Is the RT-kernel also supported by CentOS officially? Where can I have information about scope and level of support by CentOS?

Thanks,
Sunny

CentOS does not release the RT kernel as far as I know.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.

This is the git repository of kernel-rt. Owner is Karanbir Singh.

Anybody can tell more about git.centos.org? What is it for and is it officially supported CentOS?

Thanks.

git.centos.org is where Redhat push all released source code to when the official packages are released for RHEL.
