I would like to install daemontools on my CentOS 7.x desktop. yum search does not find it. Is it available for CentOS somewhere? Or is there some other app that provides roughly the same features as the supervise program?
Note: I'm not referring to real daemons or initd services - instead I want to be able to restart /usr/libexec/vino-server within my login session when it crashes (which it seems to do regularly). When I'm connected remotely via VPN and using a VNC client, if vino crashes, I can't easily restart it. I can then use /etc/gdm/PostSession/Default to run a ~/.postSession script which will disable automatic restart when I logoff.
