Hello all,
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4D7Id ... sp=sharing
I'm still quite wet behind the ears when it comes to administering Linux, especially remotely…
I'm utilizing "Putty" to access my dedicated server, I also just installed the "Cherokee Web Server"…
I suppose there is a GUI I could invoke, but for now… I'd like to try to do everything by commandline, kind of force myself to learn Linux this way.
I think I'm understanding this right, to access the "Cherokee-admin" only through SSH tunneling by typing in what they have in that screenshot…
Now, being the Linux knoob that I am… The part where it says "remote_IP address"… Are they asking for the IP address from my laptop?
Or do they want that IP address to my dedicated server?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated,
Rob

Re: Cherokee Web Server SSH remote_IP address
If you are in Putty prior to connecting:
remote = 'far away one' - the one you are NOT sitting at
remote = 'far away one' - the one you are NOT sitting at

Thanks for the help…
I'll definitely keep that in mind, for future installs…
I'm currently googling, "remotely reinstalling CentOS 7 64-bit"…
