Satisfying system-logos (a smaller centos-logos alternative)

Post by benl-ad8 » 2017/10/23 04:52:11

I'd like to use plymouth in a centos-based appliance; plymouth depends on system-logos, which is satisfied by centos-logos - which is ~22MB in size. The generic-logos rpm is ~800kB however doesn't seem to be available in the standard centos repos. Is there a recommended way of installing generic-logos, or otherwise installing plymouth without centos-logos?

Well, I've downloaded the generic-logos-18.0.0-4.fc27.noarch.rpm from rpmfind.net and am installing that via `yum install ...rpm` before then installing plymouth, kinda ugly but seems to work fine.
