firebird 2.5 on CentOS 7.4.1708 core

Post by cleberdasilva » 2017/12/14 11:24:53

Hi everyone, I'm have some issues with firebird 2.5 superserver and CentOS 7.4.
I never worked with firebird before, and now I need to running it out.
I installed it from epel repositories using yum, until here everything is okay, but, firebird does not start automatically when I need to restart my machine. I need to run this command: fbserver start &, I tried systemctl, but it return that impossible to find de fbserver.service, the same way I can´t use chkconfig fbserver on.
Someone have a clue for me :?:

repoquery -l firebird-superserver.x86_64 says that it supplies a /usr/lib/systemd/system/firebird-superserver.service so that would be the name of the service.
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
