Post by RefinedIS » 2018/03/09 08:02:09

Hi, This is my first time to install and config the DHCP server in VM.

I encountered a problem (Centos 7), the error messages listed as follows:

Not configured to listen on any interfaces!

Failed to start DHCPv4 Server Daemon.

Please refer to the screen capture for more details.

Please help !! .........................

Many Thanks,
(Urgent to solve)

You can only serve DHCP requests for a subnet for which there is an interface configured in that subnet on the host machine. You appear to be serving addresses for 172.18.0.0/16 but your interface has an address of 172.23.0.43 which is not part of 172.18.0.0/16 (extends up to 172.18.255.255).
The future appears to be RHEL or Debian. I think I'm going Debian.

CentOS 5 and 6 are deadest, do not use them.
