well that's lovely of them
they have closed my bugzilla as a dup and i don't have access to the official bug. i guess i'll see if i can get them to open that up to me so i have something to track...

Note also that the patch will be backported to the 7.5 kernel. So, hopefully an updated kernel with the fix gets released soon.
