Hey owl102, thanks for the input, but it did not work.

I found some guidance that indicated taking the following actions (executing the following commands) would help:

systemctl  stop    rhsmcertd
systemctl disable  rhsmcertd
I disabled/stopped the service and the notifications did go away; however, when I re-enabled/started the service the notifications did not come back.

Does anyone know if perhaps maybe I need to wait until the next set of packages comes around (meaning a week or so)?

So, the advice from Red Hat was basically to do nothing; unless we are using Satellite (which we are) and in that case to put a filter on new content each time new content is released.

Moreover, if you eventually need to expose content, then you will also have to rePublish and rePromote that content and then add specific filters to the target packages of concern.

I am not really a fan of this, but this is what the Red Hat Support came back with.
