PUBLIC BIND WITH FAILOVER IN A ENTRY

Post by nandoin » 2018/08/14 14:12:50

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen.

How can I configure so that I have 2 A inputs in DNS redundant (Failover), that is, so that when an IP pool is unavailable, it is still possible to access it, because the DNS resolves to 2 or more IPs. The way below works, but when one of the IPs falls, it still continues to solve the IP that is in trouble. Is there any way to set equal weight / priority if it does with MX inputs?

Example:

service.domain.com IN A 100.100.100.100
service.domain.com IN A 200.200.200.200

I know there are paid services of type 53 Amazon, dnsmadeeasy among others, but I would like to do this via BIND, has anyone done or has any suggestions?
